Illustrating ‘The Humble Leader’ #3

Two more illustrations completed today, which just leaves one to go! I’ve really enjoyed creating the images for this new book, although i notice an interesting evolution of my drawing style: clearly having illustrated on the iPad so much over the last few years, i now find myself ‘thinking’ about an undo function when i draw an ink line on the paper.

Working in Apps so much has clearly led me to think in different ‘chunks’, so from the moment the pen touches the screen to the moment that line is finished is one ‘chunk’ that can be undone. Clearly not true on paper, but the thought is lodged in my head.

I had rather feared that my drawing ability in general would have suffered from spending so long away from paper, but i think it’s going ok.

Tomorrow i aim to do the final illustration, and also the lettering for the front cover.
